+ Patrick Suskind (* March 26, 1949 in Ambach, Starnberger See), studied history in Munich and Aix-en-Provence, lives in Munich, Seeheim (Starnberger See) and Montolieu, France (with his partner Tanja Graf and son). His father, Wilhelm Emanuel was a writer, translator and journalist for Süddeutsche Zeitung (one of five leading German newspapers), his older brother, Martin E. Suskind is a reporter too. His most famous work is "Perfume – The Story of a Murderer (1985), which has been translated into 46 languages and sold nearly 15 million copies, now filmed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) – the production company paid about EUR 10 million and development rights in history.
