Help with persistent yeast diaper rash?
My son, age 2 1 / 2 years old, has had a persistent yeast diaper rash for 2 weeks. The doctors gave me Ketoderm with Zincofax mixture (1:1). It was great to work about 4 days had almost disappeared. It is now back, not bad. It only takes a diaper while he's sleeping, we are potty training. Its driving me crazy! Every morning their struggle to change the diaper and the same with poop after the nap. Only poops in these times. Other then the nap wears underwear. Because of my allergies do not use strong soaps to clean our clothes, as Softened. Is there anything I can do? Another cream that is available without prescription? All I can feed that can help?
My cousin had a Yeast diaper rash when he was about 2, which was being potty trained and wearing only diapers to bed too. My aunt used (recommendation from your doctor) EXTERNAL Monistat cream is not as strong as the cream inside, and it worked like a charm.
