soap film interference
2 physics question yiikes. drive.?

A mixture of red light (vacuum = 661 nm) and green (551 nm = empty) shines perpendicularly on a soap film (n = 1.35), which provides air to each side. What is the nonzero thickness of the film, so that interference causes destructive to look red in reflected light?

The thickness of the film should be half wavelength for destructive interference: 2 (1.35) t = 551 / 2 t = 10.185 nm
