What is electro pop?
Electropop is a form of electronic music that is made with synthesizers, and which first flourished from 1978 to 1983. Electropop laid the groundwork for a mass market in the chart-oriented pop and dance music. Many bands since then have continued the tradition of electropop in the 1990s and 2000.
Electropop is characterized by an electronic sound stressed – often described as cold and robotic – and minimum agreements. This was mainly due to the limitations of analog synthesizers and recording techniques used in time but since then has become a stylistic choice.
